Students will examine the fundamentals of second-language acquisition and intercultural communication and reflect on what role they play in their own language study. The resulting elevated awareness and understanding of language study will prepare students to enter the diverse workforce in the global economy where effective communication and collaboration with diverse colleagues and clients from a range of cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds is essential. General Education: Senior Experience
This course is designed to align with the international understanding and global awareness that are integral to all course work required for the French, Spanish, and Modern Language Business majors within the School of Global Studies. Each student will complete a final project that will showcase their cultural awareness in an international context through analytical and critical processes. In addition, every student participating in this course will be required to take the STAMP (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency) exam to evaluate communicative proficiency.
